Firehouse Animal Health Centers was born in October of 2004 with the opening of its first hospital, Firehouse Capitol Hill, in downtown Denver. Our name is derived from the location of the flagship hospital, which is in the historic building that once housed the well-known Firehouse Carwash on 6th Avenue.
Firehouse Ken Caryl became the second hospital in the Firehouse group in July 2005 when Firehouse Animal Health Centers purchased Willowbrook Animal Hospital from Dr. Rick Gardner. After a year of transition, Dr. Gardner decided to pursue other interests and spend more time with his family.
In June 2007, we moved into a state-of-the-art, 6,600 square foot facility on the site of our original hospital. In July 2007, Firehouse purchased Dakota Ridge Animal Hospital from Dr. Kathy Wilks, and she and her staff were moved into the new facility.
Built upon the same ideas as our first hospital, Firehouse Ken Caryl is committed to the highest standards of medical care for pets, the greatest attention to providing a comfortable and quality experience for our clients, and the utmost care and training for the best employees in the veterinary field. Our hospital is unique in design, features and function: the minute you walk through the door, you will know how special and important you and your pet are to our team of caring professionals.
